A home built on hope, held together by community.

The Right Step is a sober living community rooted in Solano County — founded on the belief that recovery doesn't happen in isolation. It happens in a kitchen that smells like coffee in the morning, in a quiet room where someone finally feels safe, and in the company of others who truly understand.

The Right Step was born from a deep understanding of what people in recovery actually need: not just a bed to sleep in, but a foundation to stand on. We created a structured, supportive environment where residents are treated with dignity from the moment they walk through the door — and held to the kind of accountability that makes real growth possible.

We are a small, intentional community. That is by design. Every resident here is seen, known, and supported — not as a case number, but as a person with a story worth continuing.

What we stand for

Community

Recovery is relational. We cultivate genuine connection among residents — because knowing you're not alone changes everything.

Safety first

A clean, sober, and stable environment where residents can focus on healing — free from the chaos that often surrounds early recovery.

Accountability

Clear structure and expectations — not to punish, but to protect. Accountability is an act of care when it's done with compassion.

Dignity

Every person who walks through our door is treated with respect. Addiction does not define our residents — their courage does.

Who we serve

The Right Step is for people who are ready.

We welcome adults who are committed to sobriety and ready to do the work — whether they are stepping down from inpatient treatment, transitioning from a residential program, or seeking a structured environment to strengthen their recovery. You don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing and have at least 30 days sober.

Transitioning

Coming from treatment

Individuals leaving inpatient, detox, or residential programs who need a structured bridge between treatment and independent living.

Early recovery

Building a new foundation

Those in the early stages of sobriety with at least 30 days sober, who need accountability, routine, and community support to stay on track.

Rebuilding

Starting over with intention

Adults who have struggled to maintain sobriety outside of a structured environment and are ready to try a different way.
